Philly on America's Got Talent Vote Now; T.3 (Tik Tok Tenors) and Johnny Showcase

America's Got Talent was back with quarterfinals tonight, 8/17. Two Philadelphia-area favorites performed in front on the judge's. T.3 aka Tik Tok Tenors performed a rendition of "good 4 u" by Olivia Rodrigo. The group is comprised of Liam Fennecken of Plumstead, an Archbishop Wood High School graduate, Jim Hogan of Abington, a Bishop McDevitt High School graduate, and Brendan Jacob Smith of Brooklyn. Fennecken and Hogan met while attending Penn State and connected with Smith on social media. The singing group so far has stood out for their energy and harmony.

Johnny Showcase (and the Mystic Ticket) from Philadelphia performed an original song called "Octopus." This week the entire band was brought in to perform, instead of just the vocalists singing to a backing track like the audition. The entire stage was turned into a psychedelic, underwater world complete with giant inflatable octopus. The band was too funky for Howie Mandel and Simon Cowell, who buzzed them with an X. The judges don't matter anymore anyway, the people have to vote.

UPDATE: Congrats to both T.3 and Johnny Showcase for making it this far, but unfortunately neither secured enough votes to make it to the next round.
