$172.7 Million Powerball Won by SEPTA workers, Police Text Tip line, Tire Slasher Bail at $270,00

The $172.7 million Powerball jackpot from 4/25/12 was sold at a newsstand in The Gallery at Market East in Philadelphia. The winner? Well it's actually winners. The ticket belongs to a group of SEPTA transit workers consisting of about 40 members. The co-workers buy tickets together all the time and work on the same floor. Happy hour is going to be fun tonight! The winning numbers were 04-25-29-34-43, plus the red Powerball, 29.

Last night at Philly Tech Week's Switch Philly event, Mayor Nutter announced the City of Philadelphia's new Police Text Tip line. You can text PPDTIP or 773847. You can send the police anything, where it's a tip, a photo, or information about a crime or neighborhood problem. It's not meant for emergencies though. Police still want you to call 911 if you see a crime in progress or something is happening that you need assistance.

David Toledo, 44, was arraigned Thursday on 49 counts of criminal mischief, seven counts of possessing an instrument of crime and five counts of making false reports.In connection with the tire Vandalism in Mayfair. Bail was set for Toledo, who was represented by a public defender at his arraignment, at $270,000, according to prosecutors. He is being held until his next court appearance on May 3rd unless he can somehow post 10% of that bail, which he is unable to do at this time.

In Sports, Flyers are stilling awaiting the second round NHL playoff opponent. The Eagles start the NFL draft tonight, lots of wheeling and dealing going on. Philadelphia Eagles traded Nos. 15, 114 and 172 to the Seattle Seahawks and selected Mississippi State defensive tackle Fletcher Cox. Phillies back in town tomorrow night to start a weekend series vs the Cubs.
