Pregnant Woman Assaulted in Broad Street Station; Queen Village Stabbing; AC Airplane Emergency

Philadelphia Police are searching for a suspect wanted for assaulting a pregnant woman at knife point at a SEPTA subway station on Wednesday night, 9/29. It happened around 11:30 p.m. at the Lombard-South Station on the Broad Street Line. 26-year-old David Dash is accused of approaching a 20-year-old pregnant woman from behind and putting a knife to her throat as she stood at a fare kiosk. The woman was able to break free and flee. The woman was treated for a cut on her neck. The SEPTA Transit Police Department has issued a warrant for Dash. He is charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, and other related offenses. If you have any information, call SEPTA Transit Police at 215-580-8111.

UPDATE: Philadelphia Police have arrested David Dash. He is currently in custody.

Police are investigating a fatal stabbing in the Queen Village section of Philadelphia on Friday night, 10/1. It happened around 9 p.m. on the 700 block of East Passyunk Avenue. The victim, a man in his upper 60s, was stabbed three times - abdomen, chest, and once in the side. He was taken to Jefferson University Hospital and was pronounced dead at 10:44 p.m. No arrests have been made.

A Spirit Airlines flight was stopped during takeoff from Atlantic City International Airport after a bird struck an engine causing it to catch fire. It happened around 5:45 p.m. on Saturday evening, 10/2. Spirit Airlines Flight 3044 was on the runway and accelerating for takeoff when the bird flew into one of the engines. The plane was able to make an emergency stop. 102 passengers and seven crew members were onboard and made an emergency exit. There were two minor injuries. The flight was headed to Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. The FAA is investigating.
