Singer Zayn Malik, formerly of One Direction, has pleaded 'no contest' to charges that he harassed his partner, supermodel Gigi Hadid, and her mother, reality TV star Yolanda Hadid. He was charged with four summary counts of harassment. A plea of 'no contest' means you do not admit guilt but you do accept punishment. Malik was sentenced to 90 days probation for each count, or 360 days total. He must also complete an anger management class and possibly a domestic violence class, if approved following screening. He also cannot have contact with Yolanda or her body guard. Probation could be lifted after six months if he satisfies the conditions.

It happened on September 29 at his farm home near New Hope in Bucks County, Pennsylvania outside Philadelphia. 28-year-old Malik was accused of shoving Yolanda into a dresser and cursing at her, calling her an "f--- Dutch slut" and warning her to stay away from the 1-year-old daughter he shares with Gigi. He is also accused of telling Gigi to "defend your partner against your f--- mother in my house." Malik apparently tried to fight Yolanda's bodyguard. He says that he did not strike the mother.

Philadelphia Police and Pennsylvania State Troopers are investigating a reported shooting on I-95 on Thursday morning, 10/28. It happened around 6:15 a.m. on northbound I-95 at the Aramingo exit. A woman was driving on the highway when she said someone fired at her. She pulled off at Arimingo and called police. She was not injured. The investigation continues.

Weather
Heavy rain and wind is expected across the region on Friday night, 10/29, into early Saturday morning. Winds 15-25 mph with gusts up to 40. Rain up to an inch with heavier amounts locally. Coastal flooding along the Delaware River south of Trenton is possible around the 9 p.m. high tide.
