A big trend on TikTok nationwide on Thursday, 12/16, is creating concern among parents and children. They are all reacting to the basic message: "There will be a school shooting or bombing on December 17." There is no specific threat to any one school. School districts across the country are reacting differently. Many are increasing police/security at school on Friday. Others districts are even canceling classes. Several Philadelphia area schools are also preparing by increasing security. Most people talking about it on social media are telling each other to be safe.

Philadelphia Police are investigating after the burnt body of a woman was discovered in the Logan neighborhood on Thursday morning, 12/16. Fire crews were called around 6 a.m. to a possible brush/trash fire in an alley off the 5200 block of North Marshall Street. It was next to Thurgood Marshall Elementary School. They soon found the remains of a woman on fire. She is estimated to have been between her 20s and 30s. Police discovered a blood trail leading from the street to the location of the fire. Investigators will have to determine if she was killed there or just transported to the location. They did say there was noticable blunt force trauma to the head. No word on the victim's identity. If you have any information, contact police.

A house was completely leveled following an explosion on Wednesday afternoon, 12/15, in Vineland, New Jersey. It happened around 12:30 a.m. on the 3700 block of Cornucopia Avenue. Two women were taken to the hospital. Their conditions are unknown. Fire crews have been on the scene putting out the fire. The cause of the explosion is not yet known.

The Philadelphia Flyers-Montreal Canadiens game at the Bell Centre on Thursday night, 12/16, was played without fans. Quebec public health officials requested the closed setting due to rising COVID-19 cases. "Faced with the spiraling rise of COVID-19 cases in the region, late this afternoon the Montreal Canadiens organization received a request from Quebec public health officials to host tonight's game against the Philadelphia Flyers in a closed setting with no fans in attendance at the Bell Centre," the Canadiens said in a statement. "We have accepted this request in order to help ensure the safety and security of our fans and fellow citizens throughout our community. An update on the status of Saturday's scheduled game against the Boston Bruins will be provided tomorrow."
