There is a Winter Storm Watch for far southeastern Pennsylvania, northern and central Delaware, and much of central and southern New Jersey from Friday, 1/28, 7 p.m. to Saturday, 1/29, 7 p.m. The National Weather Service says that heavy snow is possible. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 9 inches possible. Winds could gust as high as 40 mph. There will be a large coastal storm developing late Friday night. Models currently have the storm tracking further away from the coast, but if the Nor'easter tracks any closer, then the area could see higher snow totals. Prepare for at least moderate amounts of snow.

Philadelphia Police are investigating after father and son shot each other during an altercation in Kensington on Thursday morning, 1/27. It happened just after 10 a.m. on the 200 block of West Oxford Street. The 48-year-old son attacked his 67-year-old father. The father then shot the son in the groin. The two continued to struggle and the son took the gun and shot his father in the head. They were taken to Jefferson University Hospital in critical condition.

Philadelphia Police are investigating multiple armed robberies at fast food restaurants that they believe were perpetrated by the same group of young males. There have been at least five robberies between January 16 and 25 in both North and South Philadelphia. The group of five males approximately 16-20 years old have struck Popeye's, Burger King, and McDonald's restaurants. "In many of these robberies, in fact, all of them, they are done like a takeover," said Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Frank Vanore. "One or two of the individuals either jump the counter or find a way to get back behind the counter. They order the employees, and they move quickly to where the money is kept, whether it's the safe, different registers." Police released surveillance video of the crimes. If you have any information, contact Northwest Detective Division at 215-686-3353/3354.
