A New Jersey mother is facing child endangerment charges after her 5 year old daughter was burned in a tanning booth. Patricia Krentcil was arrested in Camden County after her daughter showed up at school with severe sunburn. Police say she snuck the girl into the tanning booth where state law prohibits minors under 14 from indoor tanning.

Administrators at the Philadelphia School District says it may not be able to open their doors in the Fall if they don’t get $94 million in tax revenue. Chief Recovery Officer Thomas Knudsen told the School Reform Commission that the difference could be the Mayor’s proposed new property tax plan.

Philadelphia will receive $1.5 million in health care grants. Kathleen Sebelius, the US Secretary of Health and Human Services made the announcement yesterday after visiting Philadelphia’s Fairmount Primary Care Center. The money will help community care centers serve more patients and create more jobs.

The Phillies are in Atlanta. Roy Halladay will face the Braves.
