A former Montgomery County catholic school principal is accused of stealing over $25,000 from the school for his own personal use. 56-year-old John McGrath of East Norriton is charged with Dealing in Proceeds of Unlawful Activity, Theft by Unlawful Taking, Theft by Deception, Receiving Stolen Property, and related charges. Upper Dublin police were alerted in November 2021 to an internal investigation by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia that showed McGrath was stealing thousands from Our Lady of Mercy Regional Catholic School in Maple Glen. He used school credit cards and Venmo to make payments for his own rent, vacations, food delivery, ride shares, and online purchases totaling $25,436.54. He was placed on leave last fall and will not return to his position. McGrath was released on $50,000 unsecured bail. A preliminary hearing is April 1.

A woman who struck and killed two Pennsylvania state troopers and a pedestrian on I-95 has been arrested and charged in the incident. 21-year-old Jayana Tanae Webb of Eagleville is charged with third-degree murder, homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence, homicide by vehicle, second-degree manslaughter of a law enforcement officer, involuntary manslaughter, recklessly endangering another person, driving under the influence and summary traffic violations, including failing to drive at a safe speed, careless driving and reckless driving. It happened on Monday, 3/21, around 12:40 a.m. on the southbound lanes of I-95 near the Sports Complex. Troopers 33-year-old Martin Mack and 29-year-old Branden Sisca were killed along with 28-year-old Reyes Rivera Oliveras of Allentown when they were struck by Webb. She is being held without bail.

Four gubernatorial candidates for the Republican nomination in Pennsylvania joined together to release a statement that included criteria for moderators of any potential debate. Jake Corman, Lou Barletta, Dave White and Bill McSwain signed off on the statement. There are actually 9 total candidates vying for the nomination at this May's primary. "These parameters were put into place to ensure Republican candidates for governor could robustly debate one another -- not Democratic or partisan moderators -- about the issues that are important to Pennsylvania families and job creators," said David La Torre, a spokesman for the Corman campaign. "Republicans ought to be the ones who control a Republican process to choose the Republican nominee for governor. It's as simple as that. The media aren't motivated to select the best candidate to beat [presumed Democratic nominee] Josh Shapiro, but Republicans are," Barletta campaign spokesman Tim Murtaugh said.

1) Moderators must be registered Republicans and live in Pennsylvania.

2) Must not have spoken negatively about any of the candidates on stage or works for an organization that has maligned one of the candidates.

3) Have not endorsed or donated to one of the candidates on stage.

4) No questions where answers are limited to less than 30 seconds.
