A Philadelphia man is wanted for shooting and killing his ex-girlfriend as she was pumping gas at a gas station in King of Prussia on Friday night, 4/8. The Montgomery County District Attorney's Office has issued an arrest warrant with charges of first-degree murder, person not to possess a firearm, and other related offenses. 38-year-old Rafiq Thompson is accused of killing 31-year-old Tamara Cornelius. It happened around 10:30 p.m. at the Exxon Station at 113 North Gulph Road in Upper Merion Township across from the KOP Mall. Police responded to shots fired and arrived to find Cornelius suffering from multiple gunshots. She was rushed to Paoli Hospital where she died. Investigators say that the pair had a prior relationship and had briefly met up around 9 p.m. that night. Cornelius left to have dinner at The Cheesecake Factory. When she left the restaurant, Thompson followed her to the gas station. Once at the station, he got out of the car and began shooting. If you have any information, call Upper Merion Township Police at 610-265-3232 or the Montgomery County Detectives' Tip Line at 610-278-DOIT (3638).

A teenager is dead after being shot 13 times in Philadelphia's Overbrook section. Police were able to arrest one suspect. It started just after 7 p.m. on the 6000 block of Clifford Terrace. The 18-year-old victim was shot three times in the head, four times in the chest, and three times in each leg. He was rushed to Lankenau Medical Center where he was pronounced dead a short time later. Several of the suspects ran into a home on the 6000 block of Hazelhurst Street. Police called it a barricade situation at 7:38 p.m. and SWAT was called in. It was cleared at 9 p.m. One suspect was taken into custody. The others are still at large.

UPDATE: The victim has been identified as 18-year-old Steve Green.

Former President Donald Trump has endorsed Dr. Mehmet Oz for the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate in Pennsylvania. There is a crowded field of Republicans in the upcoming primary. Kathy Barnette, Jeff Bartos, George Bochetto, Sean Gale, David McCormick and Carla Sands are the other cadidates running. Trump said in a statement, "The Great Commonwealth of Pennsylvania has a tremendous opportunity to Save America by electing the brilliant and well-known Dr. Mehmet Oz for the United States Senate," Trump said, "Dr. Oz is smart, tough, and will never let you down, therefore, he has my Complete and Total Endorsement. Good luck, Dr. Oz. our Country needs you!" He also said, "Dr. Oz is Pro-Life, very strong on Crime, the Border, Election Fraud, our Great Military, and our Vets, Tax Cuts, and will always fight for and support our under siege Second Amendment. He will ensure America will become Energy Independent again." (see full statement below) Trump had previously endorsed Sean Parnell, but Parnell suspended his candidacy in November 2021 after it was revealed he had abused his wife.
