The Killers to Release New Album, Single Runaways Leaked; They'll perform at the Firefly Festival

After a two year hiatus, The Killers are finally back! They are releasing a new album called Battle Born and they've recorded 15 new songs. The album will be released September 18, 2012.

Songs confirmed to appear on the album include "Heart Of A Girl", "Flesh And Bone", and "Carry Me Home." The songs that are on the rest of the album will be confirmed sometime next week.

The first single from the new record, "Runaways", was initially leaked on tumblr. It has received praise from critics, citing the storytelling and the chorus as strong elements. The song is similar in style to the songs on their first album, Hot Fuss.

This Las Vegas band has embraced many styles throughout their albums. They've moved from indie rock with pop elements to alternative rock.

The Killers will also be one of the headliners at the upcoming Firefly Festival in Dover, DE, to support their new album.
