Barbra Streisand to perform in Philadelphia at Wells Fargo Center on Oct 8th

October 8, 2012, Barbra Streisand kicking off perhaps her last tour in Philadelphia. She has not performed in North America in six years and, as of now, she is not planning on having more tours. Hopefully this is not the case considering she claimed that her tours of 2000 and 2006 would also be her last. Streisand has already lived a long full life as she just turned 70 years old this past April and has been honored with 10 Grammys, a Tony, 4 Golden Globes, an Oscar, and many other awards. Given that she has produced more than 50 golden albums, she has earned the tittle as one of the best-selling female singers of all time and has sold more records than Pearl Jam, Tom Petty, and Johnny Cash combined!

Her show in Philadelphia is bound to be a success considering when she played here last in 2006, the show was sold out and audience members paid up to $750 a seat. Her performance was warm and welcoming as she joked with the audience about politics and even impersonated George Bush. Hopefully she will be just as lively at this show. So far her tour locations besides Philadelphia have been announced as Brooklyn, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Chicago and Vancouver. As of now she is only set to play 8 shows with trumpeter Chris Botti and the Italian tenor trio Il Volo.

Tickets to experience one of Barbra Steisand's last shows go on sale Monday, August 13 at 10am at www.comcasttix.com.
