Sean Penn is one of the only celebrities that kept raising money for Haiti once everyone else ceased. As much of the money raised after the Earthquake never reached Haiti, they are still in a great deal of need. Sean Penn makes regular trips down there to do hands-on relief and has been active with many mission teams. He just finished putting together a charity Gala at the Cannes Film Festival in France which raised millions of dollars in proceeds.

His most recent idea was to... Read More

It is been rumored by an anonymous inside source that Beyonce is planning a surprise appearance at her husband's eclectic "Made in America" Festival in Philadelphia. As audience members are coming from all over the country to attend, these rumors only increase the excitement for this coming weekend. The rumors are made more believable seeing that Ron Howard is using footage of the festival to create a documentary, which I'm sure Beyonce and Jay-Z would want to share. This also means that Blue... started: 08/23/12 1:30 pm | updated: 08/23/12 1:30 pm
Kanye West might be the next to judge hopeful contestants on American Idol. Reports say that the producers have reached out to him about judging next season. Although he has expressed interest, he has not given a formal answer yet. FOX would probably need to pay hime at least $18 million to match Mariah Carey's judging salary, but have made no comment on whether they would be wiling to do that.

Also in the running for the popular gig are Nicki Minaj, Keith Urban, Enrique... Read More

Silversun Pickups ask Romney to Stop Using Their Songs
  by: Kibarra - Philadelphia, PA

The Silver Sun Pickups, an alternative rock band of Los Angeles, were pushed to sending Presidential candidate Mitt Romney a cease-and-desist letter after he had been used their song 'Panic Switch' without permission of the artists. He used the track at a campaign event and this did not sit well with the band who rebutted with "We don't like people going behind our backs, using our music without asking, and we don't like the Romney campaign". Frontman Brian Aubert went on to say that they are... Read More

Madonna will be beginning her 10th tour, not counting guest performances, on August 28, 2012 at the Wells Fargo Center. This North American tour will be following her Europe tour which began May 31. As the first show of a tour is very sought after it seems to reason that tickets would be going for skyrocketing prices.

Two longtime supporters of the PA Animal Shelter successfully auctioned their 4 Madonna tickets to the Wells Fargo Center for $100,000. The tickets were originally... Read More

October 8, 2012, Barbra Streisand kicking off perhaps her last tour in Philadelphia. She has not performed in North America in six years and, as of now, she is not planning on having more tours. Hopefully this is not the case considering she claimed that her tours of 2000 and 2006 would also be her last. Streisand has already lived a long full life as she just turned 70 years old this past April and has been honored with 10 Grammys, a Tony, 4 Golden Globes, an Oscar, and many other awards.... On July 29,2012, Sigur Ros broke their 4 year hiatus with a debut performance at the new Skyline Stage at the Mann Center. They began their tour in Philadelphia with back to back sold out shows before heading around the US, Canada, and on to Europe. Their long awaited tour could not have begun more successfully. The all new Skyline Stage was the perfect venue for them as the airy hilltop lifted the otherworldly music and helped it surround the entire venue. There was not an area of the venue... Read More

Last night, July 25th, marked the 25th anniversary of the The Legend of Zelda. It was celebrated by the Pittsburgh Symphony and Philadelphia Singer's Chorale, led by Susie Seiter, creating a nostalgic experience of music and cinematic beauty.

The show at the Mann Center began with an introduction by the producer, Jeron Moore, with a visual and musical guide of the three goddesses and the mythology of Hyrule, the universe of Zelda. Unsurprisingly, the first movement... Read More
