Last night, Doylestown's Circa Survive started their CD release tour at Union Transfer in Philadelphia. The Christimas Lights and Bear Hands opened the show. Their 4th studio album, Violent Waves, will officially be released on August 28th but physical and digital copies were available for purchase at their show.

The set list was as follows:

1. Hitman
2. Sharp Practice
3. In the Morning and Amazing
4. In Fear and Faith
5. Glass Arrows
6. Brother Song
7. Suitcase
8. We’re All Thieves
9. Act Appalled
10. On Letting Go
11. The Lottery
12. Blood from a Stone
13. I Felt Free
14. Stop the Car
15. Get Out (encore)

It was one of their more energetic performances. Their set included songs from all four of their albums and engaged old and new Circa fans alike. Front man Anthony Green encouraged audience members who were moshing and crowd surfing. The band threw balloons and giant blow up balls towards the crowd who reciprocated by bouncing them back towards the band. The energy of the crowd complemented an emotional performance both musically and lyrically. They ended the show with their single "Get Out" from their last album "Blue Sky Noise". The band performs their second Philly show tonight at 8pm with openers Balance and Composure and Grimace Federation.
