Kidnapped Nailla Robinson Found, Corbett Questioned Over Lottery Move, Clergy Abuse Trial Begins

Five year old Na'illa Robinson has been found. And she is safe. The girl abducted from Bryant Elementary School in West Philadelphia was found this morning on a playground in Upper Darby wearing only a t-shirt. At about 4:40 this morning, a man walking toward the 69th Street Terminal heard screams from the playground. As he approached Na'illa came out from under a sliding board and said she had run away from the people who took her. Na'illa was taken to Children’s Hospital for evaluation. Nailla was blindfolded for at least part of the time she was held captive and transported. Police believe that she was targeted and this was not a random act. The Fraternal Order of Police is offering a $5,000 reward for tips leading to an arrest.

The Corbett administration is being challenged by the speed of the deal to run the Pennsylvania State Lottery. Lawmakers from both parties are raising questions at a hearing about the outsourcing of the state's $3.5 billion lottery system to a British firm. Camelot Global services was the only bidder for the lottery and will make $34 billion in profits over the 20 year contract.

The sex abuse trial of a Catholic Priest and a school teacher began yesterday. Prosecutors painted Reverend Charles Englehardt and Bernard Shero as predators who molested a 10 year old altar boy at St. Jerome's in Philadelphia. The defense claims the accuser, now 24 years old, is a liar, addicted to drugs and just looking for a payout.
