Philadelphia Police are seeking the public's help in the strangulation and burning of Dr. Melissa Ketunuti, a CHOP Pediatrician, found yesterday in her Center City home. The 35 year old Doctor was discovered bound by the wrist and ankles, face down on the floor with rope tied around her neck. She was partially nude, wearing only a t-shirt but it appears she was not sexually assaulted. She has a boyfriend, however he is not a suspect. There were no signs of forced entry. Police are asking anyone with information to call 215-686-3334. There is a $20,000 reward.

Unemployment rose in Pennsylvania in December after reporting the biggest decrease in joblessness in almost 30 years. The Department of Labor and Industry said the Unemployment rate for December rose from 7.8 to 7.9 percent. A separate survey of Pennsylvania households and employers showed increases in the number of people working or seeking work and employers reported payrolls dropped by about 5,000 jobs.

Mayor Nutter is "greatly disappointed" that Philadelphia has lost the professional cycling championship scheduled for June. TD Bank backed out as the lead sponsor and no one else has stepped up. The race costs about $1.5 million to produce and it lost money in 2012. Representative Bob Brady will meet with race organizers this week to try and salvage something. Mayor Nutter says the city deserves a race and it will return in 2014.
