Philadelphia Police have identified the 16-year-old boy who was caught on camera knocking out a 60-year-old man after exiting the Market-Frankford El on Monday afternoon. Police used a combination of facial recognition software and two tipsters to make the identification. The incident began when the man and the teen got into a verbal altercation while on the train heading into the city. The argument went on for a prolonged period of time, with several teen girls trying to calm the two down at times. The train pulled into the 15th Street station at 3:15 pm and everyone got off. Then without warning, the teen can been seen on the station's surveillance video swinging once and knocking the man out cold. The teens ran away. The victim was taken to Hahnemann University Hospital and treated for head injuries. The teen is expected to surrender on Thursday.
