Music News - Stephen Colbert Public Access Show; Kim Deal/Courtney Barnett Interview; New Santigold
  by: iradioal - Philadelphia, PA
started: 07/02/15 7:30 am | updated: 07/02/15 7:30 am
In the run up to his takeover of the "Late Show" on NBC, future host Stephen Colbert took over a local Michigan public access show. Only in Monroe airs on Monroe Public Access Cable Television in Monroe, MI. Colbert interviewed the show's regular hosts, former Miss America Kaye Lani Rafko-Wilson and registered nurse Michelle Baumann. The majority of the show was reserved for "a local Michigander who is making a name for himself in the competitive world of music." That enterprising lad is none other than Eminem. The 20-minute off kilter interview covers everything from Bob Seger, whether Eminem is more sing-songy rap like Bone-Thugs-N-Harmony or more street, like Will Smith, and if he's political or just good booty rhymes. They end with Eminem reading the community calendar. Watch the whole show below:
