The Black Eyed Peas are celebrating their 20th anniversary this year with members will.i.am, Taboo, and Apl.de.Ap (Fergie did not join until 2002). They've just released a music video for a track called "Yesterday" which features the three original members digging through the racks of a record store pulling out albums that have been influential to the group. The album covers become animated with the guys from BEP appearing in the album art instead of the original artist.

The song is a large homage and incorporates the actual musical influences into the music of the verses. They reference Black Sheep's "The Choice Is Yours", Digable Planets' Reachin' (A New Refutation of Time and Space), De La Soul's 3 Feet High and Rising, A Tribe Called Quest's "Scenario," Pete Rock and CL Smooth's "They Reminisce Over You (T.R.O.Y.)," Ol' Dirty Bastard's Return to the 36 Chambers, Das EFX's Dead Serious, Public Enemy's It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back, N.W.A's Straight Outta Compton, Wu-Tang Clan's Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), and more. The entire track is reminiscent of their earlier work on albums like Behind The Front and Bridging the Gap and is unlike most of the pop driven hits of the past 12 years that has given them mainstream success. Erykah Badu has called them out on Twitter saying that the video concept looks a lot like her video for 2007's “Honey.” Watch them both below:

Thom Yorke of Radiohead joined Portishead on Saturday night at the Latitude Festival in Suffolk, England for a rendition of “The Rip” of the band's 2008 album Third. Yorke has covered the song himself back in '08 and played it during Radiohead sound checks. Watch the performance below:
