| A New Jersey man who conspired with his then girlfriend and a homeless veteran to create a false feel good story, and turned that into a $400,000 GoFundMe scam was sentenced on Friday, 4/1, on federal charges. | A New Jersey man accused of being the ringleader in a $400,000 GoFundMe scam involving his girlfriend and a homeless man pled guilty in federal court on Monday, 11/12. 42-year-old Mark D'Amico pled guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud. | Two men have been charged with assaulting U.S. Capitol Police officer Brian Sicknick with bear pray during the U.S. Capitol riot on January 6. 39-year-old George Tanios of Morgantown, West Virginia, and 32-year-old Julian Khater of State college, Pennsylvania, were arrested on Sunday 3/14.
