The Tredyffrin Township Police Department has filed charges against three middle school students for creating and sending sexually explicit messages in a sexting investigation dating back to last April. The suspects range in age from 11 to 15. Most of the photos were selfies from students at Valley Forge and Tredyffrin-Easttown Middle Schools. The Manayunk Bridge has reopened after 30 Years. The bridge, which links Lower Merion Township with Philadelphia is now open to pedestrians and cyclists. The project cost $5.76 million dollars and began four years ago. The bridge creates a convenient crossing between Lower Merion Township and Main Street in Manayunk and establishes a crucial link in the Circuit Trails, a 750-mile network of bicycle and pedestrian trails in the Greater Philadelphia region.

Police responded to a possible bomb threat at Dietz and Watson Company early Tuesday morning. It was reported around 1:40 a.m. that there was a bomb at the Dietz and Watson building located on the 5700 block of Tacony Street. Authorities say the threats turned out to be fake. Police checked the location and a bomb squad was not called out to the scene. The reports are under investigation.

According to an attorney for Brendan Creato's father, D.J., toxicology results for the boy whose body was found in the woods near his home three weeks ago have come back negative. Brenden went missing on October 13th from his father's apartment in the Westmont section of Haddon Township. His body was found a few hours later in a wooded area near the Cooper River a few blocks away. Police say needle-like objects have reportedly been found in candy handed out to trick-or-treaters including several separate reports in Kennett Square. Police say a "needle-type item" was found inside wrapped candy bars given to five different children on Halloween night. They're urging parents to check all candy their children are given. People who have leftover candy are also being asked to check it for possible tampering.

A teenage boy is dead after more than a dozen shots were fired at him and another teen today Sunday in the Strawberry Mansion section of Philadelphia. It happened around 4:30 p.m. Sunday in the 2200 block of Sedgley Avenue.

The Manayunk Bridge Trail over the Schuylkill River opened today for the first time in almost 30 years. The bridge trail is .6 miles long and open exclusively for bicycles and pedestrians. It connects Lower Merion's Cynwyd Heritage Trail with the Schuylkill River Trail and Main Street in Manayunk. The construction took 4 years and cost $5.76 million. Also known as the Manayunk Viaduct, the bridge was built as a railroad bridge in 1918 and was closed in 1986.

Yesterday, an American Airlines flight from Los Angeles to Philadelphia had to be diverted to Phoenix because of an unruly passenger. Shortly after takeoff when the "Fasten Seatbelt" sign was turned off, authorities say the man walked to the first-class section, started making alarming statements, mentioned 9-11 and refused to take his seat. A memorial to the victims of gun homicides in Philadelphia last year has been erected at the corner of 37th and Chestnut Streets in front of Tabernacle Church in University City. It's called a "Memorial to the Lost" and it's the work of a group of faith-based organizations operating under the leadership of an organization called Heeding God's Call to End Gun Violence.
