The Phillies pitchers and catchers will report to Spring Training in Clearwater Florida next week. But today their equipment starts the trip to the sunshine state. The team equipment truck loaded with bats, balls, gloves and uniforms will leave Citizen’s Bank Park today for the two day trip to Clearwater.

Police say the owner of a Northeast Philadelphia deli shot and killed a robbery suspect during an exchange of gunfire. It happened around 6 p.m. on Tuesday at Anna's Deli along the 4400 block of Princeton Avenue in the Tacony section of the city. Police say a 19-year-old man, armed with a handgun, ran into the deli demanding money, he stuck his gun in the face of the 53-year-old woman behind the counter and began pulling cash out of the register. Two people have been arrested and an elderly couple have been hospitalized after a road rage incident and car accident this afternoon. At around 4:30 p.m. at 54th and City Avenue in the Wynnefield section of the city, a blue Buick Park Avenue rear-ended a white Nissan Maxima and kept driving. According to a jury of his peers, reputed mob boss Joseph Ligambi was found not guilty on five charges and undecided on four counts including racketeering conspiracy. Three of six other defendants were convicted including Joseph "Mousie" Massimino, Damion "Dame" Canalichio and Gary Battaglini. Joseph "Scoops" Licata was acquitted on his only charge of racketeering.

Police in Cherry Hill are looking for two women who allegedly broke into cars at a local health club and stole credit cards. The women were captured by a security camera using a stolen card at a local Wawa (pictured). The cars were parked in the lot of Future Fitness on Route 70. They looked for cars with purses on the seats and smashed windows to gain entry. They are said to be driving a pewter colored SUV.

Authorities in Wilmington, Delaware arrested a third suspect Monday night in the weekend shooting of a police officer. Justin Wilkers was shot in the face Sunday afternoon after a traffic stop and ensuing car chase. He is in serious but stable condition and was scheduled for surgery today.

Bucks County high school students aboard the bus that crashed into an overpass during a trip to Boston have begun returning home. Thirty five people were injured in the crash including students and chaperones. Four remain hospitalized including Matthew Cruz of Neshaminy High School. The 16 year old is in critical condition.
