Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf announced new restrictions and mitigation efforts at a press conference on Thursday afternoon, 12/10. Heath Commisioner Dr. Rachel Levine announced that there are 5,852 individuals hospitalized with COVID-19, and of that number, 1,191 patients are in the intensive care unit with COVID-19. A Philadelphia City Controller audit of the Philadelphia Parking Authority has found that the agency is operating with an inflated workforce and high management salaries compared to other publicly managed parking agencies across the county. The audit covered 2016-2018. City Controller Rebecca Rhynhart said, "Management salaries need to be reined in... Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf announced on Wednesday, 12/9, that he tested positive for coronavirus COVID-19 following a routine test on Tuesday, 12/8. He says that he is felling well and does not have any symptoms, but is in isolation at home. His wife, Frances, has been tested and is also in isolation with the governor awaiting her test result. The body of 20-year-old Rahdee Chappell of Chester was discovered on Monday morning, 12/7, in Ridley Creek in Eddystone, Delaware County. The discovery was made on the creek bank behind an apartment building on the 1100 block of Eddystone Avenue. Chappell was near the creek by near Sundrive & Hancock Streets on Saturday evening when he supposedly had a seizure and fell in. A ride share driver from Lehigh County that has been missing for several days has been found dead. 58-year-old Eleanor Camacho was discovered just after 4 p.m. Sunday, 12/7, inside her car near Lumber and Turner streets in Allentown. She was last seen in Thursday evening, 12/3, in the parking lot of her apartment building on the 1100 block of South Cedar Crest Boulevard in Salisbury Township. A suspect is dead after attempting to carjack a victim in East Germantown on Saturday afternoon, 12/5. It happened after 12:30 p.m. in the parking lot of CVS on the 6300 block of Stenton Avenue. A 20-year-old man approached a 59-year-old man sitting in his car and tried to rob him and take the car. A struggle ensued. The victim yelled for help.
