Nor'easter Jams Travel, Search Warrant in Kindergarten Abduction, Norovirus Closes High School

A major Nor'easter will bury New England states in 2 feet of snow over the next couple of days. Travel will be a problem as Amtrak has already cancelled service between New York in Boston. And you can expect many flight cancellations in the northeast. Philadelphia will catch the southern edge of the storm with about 3 inched expected in the city and at least 6 inches in suburbs just north of the city.

In the case of the 5 year old girl kidnapped from her kindergarten classroom at Bryant Elementary School, Philadelphia police served a search warrant overnight at a house on the 6200 block of Walton Avenue in Cobbs Creek. They also searched alleys at the rear of the house and an alley on Larchwood Avenue. There are still no arrests in the case.

A strain of norovirus has forced the closure of Villa Joseph Marie High School in Holland, Bucks County today. Officials at the girls’ school report that a high percentage of students and faculty have become sick. Norovirus is highly contagious. Classes will resume on Monday.
