Two people are dead inside a home in Trenton, NJ as a hostage situation continues as of 8:00 p.m. Saturday. The hostage situation began around 3:30 pm on Friday at 250 Grand Street, near the corner of Grand and Chestnut, when police responded to the home after calls from concerned neighbors. When officers arrived and found the man was armed they backed off. The suspect has barricaded himself inside the home but has been in communication with FBI negotiators and authorities. A woman and teenage child (mother and child) are believed to be the two deceased inside. There are other children also inside the house as the hostage standoff continues through the night. Nearby residents have been evacuated as a precaution and several roads are shutdown. The woman inside could have been dead for a few days.

The woman inside had moved from Florida within the past year. She had five children ages 19-4. Her 19-year-old son is autistic and is safe with family members. The other four are inside the home. The man inside is not their father, but a boyfriend that she met up here in New Jersey.

UPDATE: Officers stormed the house at 3:45 a.m. on Sunday. The man was shot to death. Three children were rescued and two bodies were recovered.

A former Delaware County middle school principal pled guilty today to possession of child pornography. 42-year-old Troy Czukoski was the principal of Springton Lake Middle School. He was charged in March after police found over 150 images store two flash drives and 48 CDs and DVDs seized in an Oct. 18 search. He could face up to 10 years in prison. Sentencing has been set for Aug. 12.

The woman who was hit by an Philadelphia Police officer during last year's Puerto Rican Day celebrations has settled with the city for $75,000. Aida Guzman was struck by veteran Philadelphia Police officer Jonathan Josey during a street festival following the annual Puerto Rican Day Parade. The incident at 5th and Lehigh was caught on video and spread virally. Lt. Josey lost his job and was charged criminally, but was found not guilty of simple assault in February. Guzman filed a civil suit against the city and decided to settle.
