The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is updating its social distancing guidance for schools. It is now saying that students can sit 3 feet apart while in classrooms, instead of 6 feet as previously recommended. It points to new studies out Friday, 3/19, that found there was little difference in transmission levels between sitting 6 feet apart or 3 feet apart. Bucks County's first assistant district attorney has been demoted after he was caught working for a food delivery company during normal work hours. Gregg Shore made around $129,000 a year as a county prosecutor, but for undisclosed personal reasons he started to work as a DoorDash delivery driver in October 2020. The president of the Proud Boys Philadelphia chapter was arrested at his Port Richmond home on Wednesday morning, 3/17, by federal officials. 35-year-old Zachary Rehl was taken into custody for his role and actions in connection to the riot at the U.S. Capitol on January 6. New Castle County authorities have released police body worn camera footage from a January incident that ended with police shooting and killing a Bear, Delaware man. It happened in the early morning hours of January 13 in Wilmington. Philadelphia Police arrested a man who threw a Molotov cocktail through the front window of a daycare center in North Philadelphia on Tuesday morning, 3/16. It happened after 9 a.m. at Childrens Positive Palace Too on the 2700 block of Germantown Avenue near Lehigh Ave. A masked man tossed the incendiary device at the businesses, breaking the front window. Two men have been charged with assaulting U.S. Capitol Police officer Brian Sicknick with bear pray during the U.S. Capitol riot on January 6. 39-year-old George Tanios of Morgantown, West Virginia, and 32-year-old Julian Khater of State college, Pennsylvania, were arrested on Sunday 3/14. The mother of a Bucks County teen girl is accused of creating and sending deepfake videos and photos of other girls on her daughter's cheerleading team in an effort to have them kicked off the squad. 50-year-old Raffaela Spone is charged with multiple counts of cyber harassment of a child and harassment.
