A federal judge declined to stay his own ruling that Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf's limits on gathering sizes is unconstitutional while the Governor appeals the decision. U.S. District Judge William Stickman IV said that the Wolf administration failed to show that "imminent and irreparable harm will occur" if crowds statewide couldn't be limited to 25 people inside and 250 people outside. The United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has come out with official coronavirus COVID-19 safety guidance for upcoming seasonal holidays including Halloween and Thanksgiving. Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf vetoed a bill that would give individual schools and school districts sole authority on how to conduct athletics this school year including fan attendance. The legislation gives local control over games, scrimmages, and other in-person extracurricular activities. School districts could also determine their own safety protocols and crowd limits. Two men have been arrested in connection to a police car fire in Southwest Philadelphia early Sunday morning, 9/20. It happened around 3:30 a.m. on the 2100 block of S. Simpson Street. Authorities in Camden County, New Jersey, are searching for suspects accused of shooting up the home of two police officers earlier this week. It happened around 11:45 p.m. on Tuesday, 9/15, on the 2900 block of Clinton Street in East Camden. The two Camden County police officers were inside their house along with their 10-day-old newborn. The Pennsylvania Supreme Court has ruled on several election related cases on Thursday, 9/17. The court ruled that mail-in ballots that are postmarked by Election Day, Tuesday, November 3 can still be counted if they are received by 5 p.m. Friday, November 6. Pennsylvania is considered an important swing state and this extension in counting could delay the declaration of a presidential winner.
