Falls Township Police have arrested a major drug dealer in Bucks County. Darren Thompson was placed into police custody on Tuesday and is accused of dealing large amounts of heroin in Falls and Bristol Townships. Falls Township detectives have been investigating Thompson for the past four months and say that undercover officers had bought over 70 bags of heroin from him in those months. Thompson reportedly sold over 1,400 bags of heroin a week.

A Maple Shade, NJ, man was convicted today of murder almost 38 years after 6-year-old Etan Patz went missing on his way to the bus stop in New York City. 56-year-old Pedro Hernandez worked as a store clerk in Etan's Manhattan neighborhood back in 1979. He was not a suspect until 2012. He told police that he offered Etan a soda, choked him, and placed him in a box by the curb for trash pickup while still alive. A woman was killed in a house fire that broke out in the Frankford section of Philadelphia on Monday. The fire broke out on the 5200 block of Akron Street at around 4:30 pm on Monday. Officials say that 4 people were inside of the home when the fire broke out. A couple and their child were able to escape, but a grandmother who had been bedridden for several years was unable to make it out of the house. The Pennsylvania SPCA stopped an ongoing dog fight that happened on Sunday. The SPCA arrived at a house on the 600 block of West Diamond Street this past Sunday. SPCA officers arrived on the scene to find one of the dogs dead, but were able to rescue eight other dogs, one of them being seriously injured. Jeffrey Sandusky, son of former Penn State assistant coach Jerry Sandusky, was arrested today on 14 child sexual abuse charges. The 41-year-old is being held at Centre County Prison on $200,000 bail. His charges include statutory sexual assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, six counts of unlawful contact with a minor and two counts each of photographing or depicting sexual acts, sexual abuse of children and corruption of minors. Philadelphia Police are now searching for a woman who went missing on Saturday. 23-year-old Charlene Gardner of Philadelphia was last seen at around 8:30 am on Saturday after she was dropped off by her caretaker at a friend's house on the 6000 block of Ludlow Street. Pennsylvania business man and department store chairman Albert Boscov passed away on Friday in Reading of pancreatic cancer. He was 87. Boscov took over the department store chain in 1954. It originally started with a single dry goods store by his Russian immigrant father in 1914. A Collegeville man has now been charged in a deadly ATV crash that happened in Montgomery County. The crash happened Christmas Eve on Greenwood Avenue in Upper Providence Township at around 2:35 am. 32-year-old Steven E. Gismonde has been charged with the death of 21-year-old Sydney Hunter Stone. Philadelphia Police have now arrested a woman that stole expensive shoes and handbags from a Germantown apartment. 24-year-old Annette Rodriguez turned herself into police on Monday. The theft took place at the Wayne Court Apartments on the 5400 block of Wayne Avenue on January 26th.
