Philadelphia Police are now investigating after a deadly shooting took place in the Feltonville section of Philadelphia. The shooting happened on the 500 block of West Luray Lane at around 8:40 pm on Tuesday night. Police arrived on the scene to find a 33-year-old man laying on the ground with gun shot wounds. A Philadelphia sheriff's lieutenant who was severely injured in an elevator accident in Center City over the summer is leaving the hospital and going home. Philadelphia Sheriff Lt. Paul Owens was riding in a court staff elevator at the Criminal Justice Center on the morning of August 4th. The elevator malfunctioned and the car crashed through the roof of the elevator shaft. The music venue opened in 2011 in the completely renovated but long shuttered movie house and theater. Police are investigating after a pizza deliveryman was shot during an attack in Southwest Philadelphia. The incident happened at 54th and Yocum Streets at around 7:05 pm on Monday. Police say that 36-year-old man was delivering a pizza at a home, when two men in the adjacent home came out and shot the delivery man in the left arm. They say the issue was caused by the stormy weather that has been affecting the tri-state area today. Parts of a multistory mural fell off the wall of a Center City hospital this morning and landed on two parked cars in the parking lot below. It happened around 10:30 a.m. at the south wall of Hahnemann University Hospital's Feinstein building, near Broad and Race Streets. Federal agents helped raid a Center City jewelry store that is under investigation in connection with a string of robberies. The owner Wasim Shazad, of V Jewelers on Jewelers Row, was arrested a few days ago on charges of fencing jewelry stolen from high-end homes in the suburbs.
