A 3-year-old Camden County boy was found dead a few hours after being reported missing this morning in the Westmont section of Haddon Township. The boy was reported missing from the 100 block of Cooper Street around 6 a.m. by a family member. His body was discovered by K-9 units around 9 a.m. a few blocks from home in wooded area on South Park Drive near the Cooper River. He has been identified as Brendan Link Creato. A Pennsylvania college football player was charged with stabbing his teammate with a corkscrew during a fight at a dormitory. Police said Albright College freshman Marquis Stewart, of Bethlehem, was arrested after the stabbing early Sunday. The 18-year-old was jailed on attempted homicide, aggravated assault and other charges. The publisher of the Philadelphia Gay News, has just published his memoir, titled "And Then I Danced: Traveling the Road to LGBT Equality." Mark Segal has been a gay activist from the age of 18. Now, 46 years later, he’s chronicled that journey in his new book. He says it started after the raid on the Stonewall Inn in 1969. One of his most recent accomplishments was the opening of the John C. Anderson Apartments for gay seniors.

Philadelphia Police have made an arrest today in the robbery and murder of a transgender woman last week in the Hunting Park neighborhood of North Philadelphia. 24-year-old Pedro Redding of Hunting Park has been charged with murder, robbery, and related offenses. Princeton University's Angus Deaton has won the Nobel prize in economics for "his analysis of consumption, poverty, and welfare." Sixty nine year old Deaton was born in Edinburgh but now works at Princeton in New Jersey and has both U.S. and British citizenship. Deaton's work revolves around three central questions: How do consumers distribute their spending; how much income is spent and saved; and how do we best measure and analyze welfare and poverty? Southwest Airlines said hundreds of flights have been delayed by technical issues and warned passengers flying Monday to arrive two hours early and print boarding passes before coming to the airport. The Dallas-based company said it was using back-up systems around the country to check-in travelers lacking printed or mobile boarding passes but technology problems that began Sunday morning were continuing. A man died Sunday afternoon in Burlington County, New Jersey after the lawn mower he was riding caught fire. It happened around 2:30 p.m. on the 2220 block of Saylors Road in Jobstown, Springfield Township. The mower somehow caught fire while the 79-year-old Roger Lippincott was riding it. He was killed by flames and smoke trying to put it out. Police are investigating the cause of the fire. Lippincott, retired, was a longtime member of the Springfield Township Fire Company.

A 55-year-old man from Florida was arraigned on Saturday in the rape and murder of a 14-year-old Bensalem girl from 31 years ago. George Shaw Jr. was charged with homicide, rape, rape of an unconscious victim, and possession of an instrument of crime for the August 1984 Bucks County crime against Barbara Rowan. A well-known Philadelphia jazz musician has been arrested for attempting to meet an underage boy he met online for sex. 69-year-old Charles Cohen is charged with Criminal Attempt of Involuntary Deviant Sexual Intercourse with a Child and Unlawful Contact with a Minor among other charges. The strike by 65 NBC10 camera operators and broadcast technicians is getting tense. Philadelphia's #2 local news station posted on job sites to hire replacement workers. Meanwhile, IBEW Local 98 has targeted Comcast, which owns NBC10 through its NBCUniversal subsidiary, as a strike tactic. The union has picketed the Comcast Center and posted an inflatable rat outside its doors.
