The roller coaster sitting in the ocean thanks to Hurricane Sandy will not stay there. Seaside Heights Mayor Bill Akers said last week that the submerged coaster could make a great tourist attraction. Yesterday he admitted that “was not the brightest comment†and the roller coaster remains would be removed. A new boardwalk is expected to be built by Memorial Day.

PennDOT brined expressways and salted roads well in advance of today's storm. The Philadelphia Streets Department said it was concentrating on primary roads, bridges and areas of high elevation where slippery spots develop. A Delaware County woman has been missing for a week and law enforcement officials are now combing the woods looking for clues. 38 year old Debra Miller of Essington left her home for the grocery store last Sunday and has not been seen or heard from since. Debra Miller of Essington left her home last Sunday, November 18 to the go to the grocery store, but never returned. She has not been seen or heard from since. The City of Philadelphia has announced Free parking at meters and kiosks every Saturday beginning at 11 a.m. and going to 5 p.m. until December 29th.
