Students at John W. Hallahan Catholic Girls' High School in Philadelphia staged a walkout Friday morning, 11/20. The demonstration is in response to the announcement by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia earlier this week that the high school will be closed at the end of this academic year. Pennsylvania Secretary of Health Dr. Rachel Levine announced the state's vaccine plan on Thursday, 11/19. She said that the health department is monitoring both Pfizer and Moderna, who recently announced promising numbers from their Phase 3 trials of separate coronavirus COVID-19 vaccines.
