Philadelphia Police Commissioner Richard Ross held a press conference today, 4/19, to apologize to the two men arrested last week in a Rittenhouse Square Starbucks store. He said that he 'failed miserably' in the messaging following the incident. Officials in Philadelphia are now looking into death of the father of President Donald Trump's former National Security Advisor, General H.R. McMaster. Debris from the Southwest Airlines flight that was forced to make an emergency landing in Philadelphia on Tuesday was found in rural Berks County this morning. A piece of the cover from the engine that exploded on Flight 1380 was discovered on state game lands near Bright School Road and Route 183 in Bernsville, PA about 70 miles from Philadelphia. A Southwest Airlines flight made an emergency landing at Philadelphia International Airport this morning after an engine blew out mid flight. Southwest Flight 1380 left LaGuardia Airport in New York City and was headed for Dallas. Photos from passengers showed significant damage inside the cabin including windows blown out, oxygen masks deployed, and the cover blown off one of the engines. A Starbucks spokeswoman confirms that manager of Rittenhouse Square location who called police last week no longer works at the store. Protests continued today outside the coffee shop at 18th and Spruce in Center City Philadelphia. Demonstrators from various groups were waiting for the store to open at 7 a.m. and went inside. Demonstrators and protestors rallied at the Starbucks store in Rittenhouse Square at the center of racial tensions on Sunday afternoon following the arrest of two black men last week accused of trespassing while waiting for a friend to arrive (watch video of the protest below). Two black men were arrested on Thursday at a Starbucks in Center City while they were waiting for a friend to arrive. The incident happened at the coffee shop at 18th and Spruce in Rittenhouse Square around 4:30 in the afternoon. The two men were sitting in the lobby of the store and had not yet ordered anything.
