The owner of a South Philadelphia day care facility accused of sexually assaulting two children has been released after posting bail. 53-year-old Duncan Round of Medford Lakes, NJ, posted 10% of $200,000 bail Thursday morning. He is a British citizen and had to surrender his passport. Round owns Sprouts Preschool on the 600 block of South 9th Street. Philadelphia Authorities say that an off-duty cop who was involved in a multi-vehicle accident may have been under the influence. The accident happened at around 6 am on Wednesday on the 1500 block of North Street in Philadelphia. Officials have said that the off-duty officer hit around 4 parked cars during the accident. Luckily no one was injured in the accident and the officer was taken into the police station for a possible DUI. Police are continuing an investigation.

The Philadelphia Phillies have announced that Pete Rose will not be honored in Alumni Weekend events next weekend Aug. 10 through Aug. 13 at Citizen's Bank Park "due to recent events." The team will not be distributing bobblehead figurines on Friday, August 11th and Rose will not be inducted into the Wall of Fame on Saturday, August 12th. The former mayor of Reading pled not guilty in court on Tuesday after he was charged with federal corruption charges. Former Mayor Vaughn Spencer appeared in court on Tuesday after he has been accused of selling power in his office for campaign contributions. Prosecutors say that Spencer told business and individuals that city contracts would be withheld if they didn't provide campaign contributions. Police are looking for a suspect after a woman was sexually assaulted at gunpoint in a Montgomery County park on Tuesday morning. It happened around 10:50 a.m. in Norristown Farm Park. A 19-year-old woman was running in the park when she was attacked by a man with a gun and raped. She managed to call 911. Authorities have recovered a vehicle believed to belong to the suspect wanted for killing a man in Haverford Township and opening fire on an Overbrook street over the weekend. A grey 2004 S60 Volvo was towed away by police from the 5100 block of Locust Street in West Philadelphia on Tuesday morning. Police say that they have now found the mother who reportedly left her 8-month old baby inside of a Bensalem hotel and never came back. 34-year-old Erica Avila-Lopez was found at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, where she was undergoing a medical procedure.
