Los Angeles Lakers guard Wayne Ellington Jr. has been granted an indefinite leave of absence from the team after his father was shot and killed Sunday in Philadelphia. The victim, identified as 57-year-old Wayne R. Ellington Sr., was found inside the driver side seat of a vehicle around 8 p.m. Sunday on the 5200 block of Marion Street in Germantown. Four people were injured this afternoon in a serious crash involving a school bus and a sedan in Princeton, NJ, in Mercer County. It happened around 3:00 pm on Route 206 (Lawrenceville Road) near Hutchinson Drive. A BMW sedan driving north on SH 206 crossed into the path of the school bus which was going south at a curve in the road. A cherry red 1990 Corvette was pulled from the Delaware River last night after being dumped there by a man going through a bitter divorce. Police say the man drove his soon to be ex-wife's cherished classic Corvette to a spot near the Tacony Palmyra bridge, put it in gear, got out, and watched the car drive itself into the river. The man accused of abducting a Germantown woman last week will be returned to Philadelphia to face federal kidnapping charges here first before facing similar charges in Virginia. 37-year-old Delvin Barnes is accused of grabbing 22-year-old Carlesha Freeland-Gaither off the street in Germantown last Sunday. Those are the words used by the young man who pulled Philadelphia police officer, Mark Kimsey from his burning cruiser Saturday evening. Seventeen year old Joe Chambers is being hailed a hero after witnessing an accident involving the police car and another vehicle. Local teen Joe Chambers has become a hero after saving a cop's life Saturday night. Chambers, along with the help of Dante Johnson, pulled the unconscious Officer Mark Kimsey from his burning vehicle, moments before it exploded.
