The remainder of the football season at Central Bucks West High School, in Bucks County, was canceled today. All members of the varsity and JV coaching staffs have been suspended pending further investigation. An officer of SEPTA transit was attacked yesterday afternoon while trying to end a fight between high school students. He tried to stop a group of girl brawl when a teenage boy punched him in the side of the head. No arrests have been made yet, but the officer is being treated at Temple University Hospital.

A former Philadelphia Traffic Court judge has been charged with bribery in a corruption case that was turned down by the Pennsylvania Attorney General. Philadelphia District Attorney Seth Williams announced the charges today against Thomasine Tynes. Tynes is accused of accepting a $2,000 Tiffany bracelet from a businessman in exchange for special access to government contracts. One person has died and four others were injured in a crash between a car and a tractor trailer on the Pennsylvania Turnpike early this morning. The accident happened westbound between Mid-County and Fort Washington just after midnight. The four injured young adults were transported to Abington Memorial Hospital in serious condition.

On Tuesday, October 21st, Primus released their 8th studio album Primus & the Chocolate Factory with the Fungi Ensemble. This is their first release featuring the band's original lineup of frontman/bassist Les Claypool, guitarist Larry Lalonde and drummer Tim 'Herb' Alexander since Tales From the Punchbowl in 1995. A man died early yesterday morning in a one car crash on City Avenue at about 6:30 AM. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the crash, which occurred at about 4:20 AM. The crash destroyed the vehicle and ejected the man from the car. He was rushed to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where he later passed away.

A city council committee has signed off on a sweeping overhaul of how Philadelphia handles large vacant buildings. The changes were spurred by the deaths of firefighters Robert Neary and Daniel Sweeney in April 2012 battling a blaze that had begun in a vacant warehouse.
