Chalfont Bear, CCP Gunman Charged, 76ers Look at Camden for Practice Facility

It must be bear season in Bucks County. This is the second bear this week, this one showing up in Chalfont. The adult black bear estimated at several hundred pounds is giving Chalfont residents an unusually up close look at the wild, but police are warning residents not to approach or feed the bear. Officials plan to tranquilize and relocate the bear a safe distance from picnic baskets.

Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen G. Kane is advising recent graduates and others in the job market to be wary of scammers that target people using the internet to find employment. According to the Attorney General, employment schemes are among the most common and oldest forms of consumer fraud. Often the scammers are able to collect contact information through online job boards where the consumer has posted his or her resume.

Early this afternoon a student at the Community College of Philadelphia rushed into a classroom and pulled a gun on a classmate. The confrontation led officials to evacuate the building and lockdown nearby middle and high schools. Around 12 noon, 23-year-old Ryan Martinez Fitch entered a chemistry class and argued with one of the students. He allegedly brandish a gun which prompted everyone to leave. With yesterday's storms, trees came down, an underground transformer caught fire and the power went out for thousands of customers across PECO's grid. Over 4,000 people in the city were without power as a result of the transformer fire. PECO has most back on line this afternoon.

Diner en Blanc, an impromptu dinner soiree by way of Paris, is coming to Philadelphia for a third year. The pop-up al fresco event is set to return for 2014, and the wait list officially opened Tuesday. The 2014 date is set to be released in June, but the location of the event will remain a secret until the day of the dinner. Last year, thousands signed up for the all-white dinner party, which eventually happened at JFK Bridge at 30th Street.

Three Teens ID'd in Pleasantville Crash; 5000 Lose Power Center City; $10 Counterfeit Couple Arrest

Police have identified the three teenagers who died yesterday when a car crashed into a New Jersey Transit Bus in Pleasantville, Atlantic County. Tevin Campbell, 18, of Absecon, Kira Strider, 14, of Pleasantville and Amber Fernandez, 16, of Pleasantville were all passengers in the car. Campbell and Strider were pronounced dead at the scene. Bensalem Black Bear Killed, Pothole Repair, Jersey Shore Crowded Memorial Day

The black bear spotted roaming Bensalem has been killed, euthanized early Monday after being found with a broken leg. The bear was found in the woods behind Nifty Fifties injured after possibly being hit by a car or truck but no one has reported having done so. Game officers say the bear, which had previously been tagged, probably made its way from the Poconos searching for new territory.
