Fans started lining up at Citizens Bank Park early Thursday to make sure they got their hands on tickets to the games they had their eyes on, whether it be a giveaway night, the first night home game, or just one on the schedule that fits their plans. A group of Philadelphia artists claimed the Grammy for Best Children's Album this week. All About Bullies Big and Small is a collaborative effort that included songs, stories and poetry from local artists including Eric Bazilian, John Flynn, Grover Silcox, Cyndy Drue, Debbi Calton, Steve Pallura, Skip Denenberg, Little Steven Van Zant and others.

After a squeaker over Ron Paul in Maine, Mitt Romney's team is ready to set off an ad barrage in Michigan and Arizona.
Why? Rick Santorum is raising more than $1-million a day, and is ahead of Romney in several national polls after his triple victory last week.
Bottom line: concern in the Romney campaign, Santorum rising and a race that might have been over could be a marathon.

Judge: Jerry Sandusky Can See Grandkids, Have Local Centre County Jury |

Jerry Sandusky, the defendant in a child sex abuse case, will be allowed to see his grandchildren, according to a judge's order issued Monday morning.
The jury for the upcoming trial, intended to start May 14, will come from Centre County. Prosecutors requested a jury from outside the county to avoid any connection to Sandusky or the victims.
But Sandusky and his lawyers wanted a jury from inside the county, and the judge granted their request.

If you plan on participating in the city's 33rd annual Broad Street Run, make sure you sign up on time. Registration is expected to sell out within a matter of days.
Registration opens February 15, and race director Jim Marino says once they hit 30,000 participants, no one else will be allowed to register. He says they've made improvements to the registration process.

Whitney Houston, who reined as one of pop music's queens throughout the 80's and 90's until her life and career were torn apart by drug use, has died at age 48.
Publicist Kristen Foster said Saturday that the singer had died, but the cause and the location of her death were unclear.

Last year, Philadelphia developer Bart Blatstein bought 18-story building that had been home to Philadelphia Media Networks assets including the Inquirer, Daily News and Philly.com.
Now Blatstein and four partners have formed a company to explore purchasing Philadelphia Media Network Inc. but it is unclear whether the group will be able to participate in the bidding process.
