Former Philadelphia Eagle and Villanova Wildcat running back Brian Westbrook is about to start a career in radio broadcasting. According to 97.5, The Fanatic, the former running back will be heavily involved with the station's coverage of the NFL Draft, training camp and throughout the football season starting in September.

Pat Burrell, 35, is putting down the bat after a 12 year career. He was drafted No. 1 overall by the Phillies in 1998 out of the University of Miami as a third baseman, but spent the majority of his career as a left fielder. The Philadelphia Eagles are bringing in former Miami Dolphins interim head coach, Todd Bowles to be the Birds defensive backs coach. Juan Castillo will remain defensive coordinator.
Bowles will be in charge of the entire secondary. Safeties coach Mike Zordich will report to under Bowles. Bowles will fill the vacancy left by Johnnie Lynn after he Eagles fired him.

Manny, Moe and Jack are getting new bosses. Pep Boys has agreed to be purchased by private investor, the Gores Group.
The Philadelphia-based auto parts and service retailer said the deal is for $15 per share, a 24 percent premium over Friday's closing price. The enterprise value of the deal is $1 billion, Pep Boys said.

Pottstown Middle School is banning it's students from wearing open top boots - including and especially Uggs. Uggs are a fashion craze with middle school age girls and the ban has created uproar among parents and students. The school says it is having a problem with students storing their cell phones inside their footwear.
