On Friday, 4/11, Bucks County District Attorney Matthew Weintraub announced that a police officer will not face criminal charges after shooting suspect in custody last month. Weintraub wrote in a letter to New Hope Police Chief Michael Cummings, "After careful consideration, I have determined that [the officer's] shooting of arrestee Brian Riling on March 3, 2019, was neither justified, nor criminal, but was excused." An employee of a bank in Evesham Township, New Jersey, was arrested for secretly recording women in the bathroom. 35-year-old Larry Tucker Jr. is charged with third-degree invasion of privacy. The incident happened on Dec. 27 at the Citizens Bank located at 791 E. Route 70. A female customer found a cell phone in an envelope that had been placed inside the women's restroom. A woman stole a city-owned truck and took it for a joy ride on Tuesday night, 4/9. 33-year-old Amanda Bonner was arrested and charged with third degree theft, unlawful taking; third degree theft, receiving stolen property; and a second-degree misdemeanor count of unauthorized use of an automobile. Police in Montgomery County have arrested two Pottstown teens for shooting at the home of a middle school girl's family. 19-year-olds Ahnile Fountain and Makael Bevins, both of Pottstown, are charged with attempted murder, firearms violations, and related offenses. On Monday, 4/8, 59-year-old guilty Daniel Dougherty was found guilty for the third time of intentionally setting fire to his Oxford Circle rowhouse in 1985, killing his two young sons. The jury of 8 women and two men deliberated for seven hours over two days. Dougherty was convicted of two counts of second-degree murder and arson causing death. A SEPTA Regional Rail train on the Media/Elwyn line struck a car on the tracks in Lansdowne, Delaware County on Monday morning, 4/8. It happened around 9:05 a.m. at Union Ave. The inbound train #1342 collided with an SUV and pushed it about 500 feet down the tracks. Philadelphia Firefighters are battling a four-alarm fire at Sepviva and East Butler streets in the city's Port Richmond section. They were first called to the scene around 7:22 p.m. and found heavy fire. The Thrifty Irishman building is described as a repurposed warehouse and is home to several businesses. There are approximately 60 fire apparatus and vehicles with more than 150 firefighters on scene. There are no injuries reported at this point. The cause is not known.

Philadelphia Police believe drag racing led to a deadly crash that killed a young man near the Sports Complex late Saturday night, 4/6.
