| Police have identified the teenager arrested for shooting a Good Samaritan in Rittenhouse Square last week. 17-year-old Mehdi Fraiji of the Graduate Hospital neighborhood turned himself into Central Detectives at 4 a.m. on Saturday. He is charged as an adult with Attempted Murder, Criminal Conspiracy, Aggravated Assault, Robbery, and related offenses. | The Wordsworth Academy in the Wynnefield section of Philadelphia announced Monday that it is now shutting down its Residential Treatment Program after a teen died when he got into an altercation with staff members. | The north side stone staircase leading to the entrance of the iconic Union League in Philadelphia was heavily damaged overnight by a vandal. Surveillance tapes show a man tugging at the brass hand rail at around 3 a.m. When he pulled the railing free, the rest of the curved stone railing came crumbling down. | A car crash that turned into a fiery blaze occurred in West Philadelphia on Sunday morning. The crash happened at 6:45 a.m. at the intersection of 53rd and Chestnut Street. Police have now arrested a man who has been accused of 15 burglaries that have happened in Chester and Montgomery Counties. The suspect is James Murray who police say has been robbing homes since July. After he was involved in a failed robbery, Police started to keep an eye on Murray.
