Police Search For Overbrook Arsonist, Frm. Police Commisioner Dies, Boy Hit and Killed By Car |

Police are now on the search for a suspect who is believed to be an arsonist who has been setting cars on fire at three different auto body shops on Lacaster Avenue in Overbrook. Police say the arsonist has been doing this since October now and want to find him before someone get a hurt. The latest case was at the Major Events Auto Lot on the 5000 block of Lancaster Avenue on Tuesday night. Police say the arsonist has been doing this either very late at night or early in the morning.

Bucks County police have arrested and charged a mother in the death of her two year old daughter. 22 year old Kayla Moore was arrested late Tuesday night. District Attorney David Heckler says the child was airlifted to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia Sunday, where she underwent emergency surgery. 2-year-old Athena Wolfe died just before 7:00 a.m. Monday morning. A Philadelphia man, 32-year-old Abdu Rivera has now been arrested for arson that left five family members dead in 2003. The fire happened on November 18th 2003 on the 100 block of Widener Avenue in the Olney Section of Philadelphia. One of the victims killed was John Santiago, a local boxer, who had gotten into a fight with Rivera and other men. Police say the fire was intentionally sent by Rivera, he is now being charged with five counts of murder, arson, and other related charges.
