The Yellow Ribbon program is designed to help veterans continue their education. It covers most, if not all, college expenses and can help veterans transition from the military to civilian life. 27-year-old Ian Williams is an Army Veteran, who left the army in June 2013 and was enrolled at Drexel through the Yellow Ribbon program that fall. One person is dead and two have been taken into custody after shots were fired during a standoff at a Bensalem motel on Saturday afternoon. It started around 2:30 p.m. at the Knights Inn on the 2700 block of Lincoln Highway in Bensalem, Bucks County. Bensalem Police went to the motel to pick up James Miller on a Pa. parole violation. Chester County District Attorney Tom Hogan said today that two reports of people finding needles in candy after trick-or-treating in Kennett Square on Halloween last Saturday are "unfounded." The first incident involved an 11-year-old girl who put her mother's own sewing needles in a Twix chocolate bar. She showed it to her parent's who called police. New Jersey Governor Chis Christie got knocked down to the undercard for the next presidential debate. Christie fell short of the support needed in national polls to qualify. Thousands of drivers are scoffing at the PA turnpike tolls and they're getting away with it, sliding through the EZPass lane with no EZPass showing and the red light still shining. Last year the Pennsylvania Turnpike sent out 886,000 first notices. When the fiscal year ended in May the Turnpike had $33.3 million dollars outstanding in unpaid tolls. Philadelphia Police are investigating after the body of a girl was recovered from the Delaware River this morning. Police were called to Delaware and Linden Avenues in the Torresdale section of Northeast Philadelphia around 11:15 a.m. The Philadelphia Police Marine Unit found an unresponsive Hispanic girl on the river bank near the Linden Avenue boat ramp. The body of the juvenile was taken to the medical examiner's office for identification. The investigation continues.

There was a close call with a freight train in Bridgeport overnight. Montgomery County officials are investigating what caused a car to become stuck on the tracks before being struck by a freight train. The female driver of the car was able to escape before the impact and was not hurt. The woman's car became stuck on the tracks near 2nd and Depot in Bridgeport just before 1:00 a.m. Wednesday morning. No one on-board the Norfolk Southern freight train was injured.
