Dozens of concerned residents of a Northeast Philadelphia community gathered Tuesday evening as they continue a two-year battle against a proposed methadone clinic they don't want at the proposed location at Frankford Avenue and Decatur Street. A Philadelphia man has been arrested after leaving his toddler in the car this past weekend while he was inside the casino playing blackjack. Bensalem police found an 18-month old boy inside a Lexus Saturday night in the parking lot of the Parx Casino. His father, 44-year-old Danny Ngo, was inside the casino for about 40 minutes while his young son was outside alone in the car. A public hearing is on for today with state officials and city labor leaders on hand to discuss the deadly building collapse last month in Center City. The rocker and actor was in town to announce that he was donating $1 million to the Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund, which is chaired by First Lady Mary Pat Christie. It was a surprise welcome home for a young soldier in Cherry Hill over the weekend. Francesca "Chessie" Vollaro returned from a tour in Afghanistan three weeks ago. The 21 year old graduated high school in 2010 and was surprised by a gathering of friends and a motorcycle parade. Chessie will participate in a beauty pageant and then pursue a career in law enforcement.

Philadelphia Police are looking for a man who they say shot and robbed a cab driver last week. Police describe 27-year-old Paul Leavy as armed and dangerous and on the loose. A freshly installed road sign has many people looking twice out in Lancaster County. The new sign is along Rt. 222 between Reading and Ephrata. It is supposed to read “322 Ephrata Exit 2 Milesâ€. Instead the R and A are reversed in the middle of the name. The newly misspelled town name reads E-P-H-A-R-T-A. Which phonetically sounds a bit like flatulence.
