Check your lottery tickets. Three winners were sold in the Philadelphia area. On Friday, Mega Millions produced two winners for $250,000 each – one in Philadelphia and one in Delaware County. Saturday a Cash 5 ticket sold in Chester County hit for $225,000. The winning tickets were sold at a Pathmark in Northeast Philly, Westmont Beverage in Collingdale and a Giant in Frazer.

Three Philadelphia schools will play in the NCAA Tournament. Villanova, Temple and LaSalle were all invited to the big dance. Villanova, a nine seed will play North Carolina Friday. Temple will play NC State Friday. LaSalle will play Boise State Wednesday night. Let the office pools begin.

Opening statements and the start of testimony are scheduled for today in one of the most gruesome and disturbing criminal cases in Philadelphia history. Abortion Doctor Kermit Gosnell is charged with 7 counts of first degree murder, and 1 count of third degree murder. The prosecution alleges he induced labor and delivered live babies, then killed them by cutting or snipping their spinal cords with scissors.

A NJ-bound PATCO train stopped on the Ben Franklin Bridge Saturday night shortly after 6 pm, stranding passengers above the Delaware River for more than an hour. Many of those passengers were reportedly visibly intoxicated and wearing their pre-St. Patrick's green attire. An armed man has barricaded himself in the Dick's Sporting Goods in Falls Township, Bucks County, according to police. It started at around 7:30 pm when a man walked into the store at 150 Commerce Boulevard in Fairless Hills, stole multiples guns and ammunition from the firearms counter after pulling a handgun on the clerk and barricaded himself in the bathroom. Winter doesn't seem to want to quit in and around Philadelphia. We can expect a mix of wintry precipitation today with light snow leaving a slushy coating throughout the area through Sunday morning. Temperatures will be in the mid-30's. A storm coming across the country early next week is also expected to start out with a similar mix of rain/snow on Monday, but will change to a heavy rain by Tuesday.

A judge wants Meek Mill to work better with his probation officer to satisfy the Philly D.A. Meek Mill is 25 year old Robert Williams of North Philly, a rap phenom on the rise and his life is full of tours and appearances that often get changed at the last minute so he’s having trouble checking in. He is on probation from a 2008 drug and gun conviction. Judge Brinkley told Williams he needs to take off his Meek Mill hat and do what he is supposed to do.
