Mayor Nutter admits there's a lot of confusion over the new property assessments. His aides are launching a series of meetings throughout the month — including two tonight — to answer residents' questions. The couple involved in yesterday's wild interstate car chase from Camden to North Philly using two stolen police cars were apparently high on heroin at the time. The two police vehicles were not the first cars they stole nor was it the first car chase that Blake Bills and Shayna Sykes were in this week. Police are trying to figure out what triggered the theft of two police cars and a high speed chase that left an officer hospitalized. Blake Bills and Shayna Sykes (pictured) of Macungie stole a Camden Police car from an officer at a traffic stop. They ran him over, crossed the bridge into Philly where they were stopped. Then Sykes stole a Philly cop car, crashing it into several vehicles before getting caught.

Authorities say a pedestrian was killed Tuesday night after they were struck by an Amtrak train in Croydon, Pa. This happened around 10:15 p.m. near the intersection of Cedar Avenue and Bristol Pike on a rail line shared by Septa. Police are still investigation. The person's age and gender are not available.

The Jersey Shore is bracing for the worst flooding since Hurricane Sandy. The National Weather Service is predicting tidal flooding for Wednesday from a Nor'easter that will bring winds reaching 50 to 60 miles per hour. Millions of dollars and man hours have been spent rebuilding the beaches and dunes for protection. This storm has the potential to wash away much of it.

Police are searching for three men they say tied up and robbed four Temple University students at an off campus apartment in North Philadelphia. The incident happened around 7:30 p.m. Monday along the block of North 18th Street. Authorities say the suspects stole computer equipment, cell phones, credit cards and an undisclosed amount of cash, and then fled the scene. None of the victims were injured.

This morning, a tractor trailer carrying bundles of mail lost a load of letters, bills and parcels when the back doors somehow opened dumping the mail on Route 611 near Street Road in Warrington, Bucks County. Thousands of pieces of mail closed one of the northbound lanes while workers attempted to retrieve every last piece – even the junk mail.

A one-alarm fire broke out late Sunday night at a three story apartment building in the Kensington section of Philadelphia. Firefighters were able to control the blaze around midnight. Four people were taken to Temple University Hospital for treatment.
