The so-called mastermind and ringleader of a $400,000 GoFundMe scam that defrauded some 14,000 individual donors two years ago has pled guilty to state charges. Mark D'Amico of New Jersey plead guilty to one state charge of misapplication of entrusted property. He will be sentenced to 5 years in prison. His ex-girlfriend, Katelyn McClure, and homeless veteran, Johnny Bobbitt, have already pled guilty to state and federal charges. D'Amico still faces federal wire fraud and money... Read More

The bear that made its way south through Delaware County this week with sightings starting on Black Friday has now turned up in Delaware. Pennsylvania and Delaware game officials are working together to track the animal and trap it. Delaware Natural Resources Police says it is a younger animal about 200 lbs. A Bucks County woman has been charged in the death of an 11-month-old baby who died under her care in an unlicensed day care this past summer. 48-year-old Lauren Landgrebe is charged with involuntary manslaughter, endangering welfare of children, operating a day care facility without a license, theft by deception, and tampering with evidence. Pennsylvania state prosecutors have charged a Pennsylvania state representative and accused her of stealing over $500,000 from a non-profit she founded to help the mentally ill and poor fighting addiction. Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro's office announced the charges on Wednesday, 12/4, against state Rep. Movita Johnson-Harrell. A Montgomery County man has been arrested after child pornography was found on both his cell phone and computer. 19-year-old Brian Groo of Horsham is charged with 167 felony counts related to possessing and distributing child pornography. The National Center of Missing and Exploited Children tipped off officials back in September. A Berks County mother has been arrested and charged with murder in connection to the deaths of her two young children found hanging in her basement. Lisa Snyder was arrested on Monday morning, 12/2, and charged with two counts of first-degree murder. Snyder had called 911 on the afternoon of 9/23 and told authorities that she found 8-year-old Conner Snyder and his 4-year-old sister Brinley hanging in the basement by a cable dog leash in their Albany Township home. Accumulating snow is now in the forecast across the region as part 2 of this early December storm begins to wind up heading into Monday, 12/2.
