Allentown Mayor Edwin Pawlowski and former Reading Mayor Vaughn Spencer have been indicted on federal corruption charges for allegedly conducting pay-to-play schemes in their respective cities. They have been charged with multiple counts of bribery and fraud. A Bucks County man is now facing several charges after he reportedly ran over his wife in the East Falls section of Philadelphia. Police say the driver, Andrew Ryan, was speeding when he swerved his car across Lincoln Highway. This caused Ryan's wife to be thrown from the car because the passenger side door was ajar. A teenage girl and her infant baby have been found safe after they were missing for three weeks. 16-year-old Lamaya Green and 2-month-old Amiliana Green have been missing since July 4th. They disappeared from a group home run by Child Services. They were staying there by court order. The pair was located shortly after a police press conference this morning about the search. The two were found safe and healthy. No word on where they were located.

SEPTA officials are now dealing with a spider problem in and around the Spring Garden El Station in Northern Liberites. Officials say that the spiders have been dropping down out of the light fixtures onto waiting passengers, some even as big as 2-3 inches. SEPTA is very concerned about this problem and have taken action. Officials say that they had an exterminator come in and spray the area, as well as cleaning the light fixtures to get rid of the spiders.

The woman who kidnapped a 7-week-old baby from the King of Prussia mall last year was sentenced today. 33-year-old Cherie Amoore was sentenced to 1 ½ to 7 years in prison. It happened on March 31, 2016 at the food court in the mall. Amoore struck up a conversation with a mother and offered to hold the crying baby. Police are now investigating after one man was left dead after a hit-and-run incident on the Schuylkill Expressway in the Fairmount section of Philadelphia. The victim, 30-year-old Sean Patrick Granger, was hit on the eastbound side of the highway on the Montgomery Drive off ramp at around 10:30 pm on Saturday. Pennsylvania State Police are investigating after a woman was found stabbed to death in her home in Montgomery County early Thursday morning. Troopers were called to the home on the 400 block of Abbey Lane in Perkiomen Township at 3:18 a.m. They found 54-year-old Annette House on the second floor with a knife in her chest. Governor Chris Christie has signed a bill that raises the smoking age in New Jersey from 19 to 21. The law bans sales of tobacco products and electronic cigarettes to anyone under the age of 21. Retailers can be fined up to $1000 for selling to an underage person.
