The man who was found stabbed to death outside of a South Philadelphia Wawa store early Monday morning, 2/14, has been identified by police. 49-year-old Roger B. Segal was a bartender and accomplished musician (bassist) known throughout the local music scene and beyond. Family, friends, and colleagues remember Segal as being 'well-loved' by all. A Philadelphia man is facing charges after he is accused of stabbing six of his family members in their home early Friday morning, 2/11. 30-year-old Jamal Holmes is charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, simple assault, and other related offenses. Philadelphia Police are searching for four suspects wanted in a violent home invasion/robbery that happened early Saturday morning, 2/12, in Oxford Circle. It happened around 2:30 a.m. on the 6900 block of Horrocks Street. The suspects gained entry into the home through the basement. Two of them were armed. A Philly SWAT officer is ok after being shot in his bulletproof vest on Friday afternoon, 2/11. It happened around 12:40 p.m. on the 100 block of West Lehigh Avenue in the Fairhill neighborhood. The largest restaurant in Philadelphia's history is set to open this spring along Penn's Landing. FCM Hospitality, owned by Avram Hornik, announced that Liberty Point would open in April.
