A woman was arrested in Delaware County this afternoon after police say she stabbed an 8-year-old girl in the head. It happened in an apartment on the 500 block of MacDade Boulevard in Collingdale around 2:45 Friday. Officers arrived on scene to a male carrying the bleeding 2nd grader out the front door. She was taken to Fitzgerald Mercy Hospital and later transferred to Children's Hospital of Pennsylvania with a 4-inch gash to her forehead. The little girl is expected to be ok.... Read More

Barricade Situation In Secane, Delaware County; Rhawnhurst Home Invasion; Sandusky Waives Hearing

Police and SWAT units are on the scene of a barricade situation that is ongoing in Secane, Delaware County. Police arrived at the scene on Providence Road near Westwood Drive at around 2:30 pm on Friday. There is no word on what has led to the barricade situation, or if the person inside is armed. Service was suspended on SEPTA's Media/Elwyn line due to police activity near the line, but has since resumed. This is still an ongoing story.

An overnight burglary at John's Roast Pork on Snyder Avenue in South Philly forced the sandwich shop to close on Friday. The burglars made off with thousands in cash from a box and $1,500 in donations set aside for a charity. They also tried to break into the ATM machine but failed, but they did take the DVR for the video surveillance system. Temple University's football program has now announced that four of its players are going to participate in the 2017 NFL combine in Indianapolis. The four players are DL Haason Reddick, OL Dion Dawkins, DB Nate Hariston, and RB Jahad Thomas. Dawkins, Reddick and Thomas are all New Jersey natives, and Hariston is from Frederick, Maryland. The 2017 NFL combine will take place between February 28th and March 6th at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

Philadelphia Police are now investigating after a twelve-year-old girl was involved in an armed robbery that took place in the Mayfair section of Philadelphia. The robbery took place on the 7900 block of Leon street at around 4:30 pm on Thursday. Police say the suspect, who is believed to be a 15-year-old boy, approached the girl and robbed her of her cell phone. Luckily the girl was not injured in the robbery, but police are still searching for the suspect.

Philadelphia Police are now investigating after a man was critically injured in a stabbing that took place in West Philadelphia on Wednesday morning. The stabbing happened along the 600 block of North 52nd Street at around 9:30 am. The 28-year-old victim was stabbed multiple times and was taken to a local hospital where he is listed in critical condition. Police are still searching for the suspect responsible.

A Montgomery County father is now behind bars accused of breaking the skull and ribs of a 24-day-old baby. 34-year-old Luis Bonanno of Harleysville, PA, is charged with aggravated assault, endangering the welfare of children and other offenses. The baby's mother had brought the child to an area hospital because of breathing problems. A man is now in critical condition after he was shot in the Oak Lane section of Philadelphia Wednesday night. The shooting took place near Lambert Street and Chelten Avenue at around 8:30 pm. Police were in pursuit of an armed man, and then called in for backup after shots were fired. After backup came, three officers discharged their weapons. A Catholic School teacher in Norristown has been accused of sexual abuse charges involving a 3-year-old girl. 32-year-old Michael Barbee, a teacher at the early learning program at Saint Francis Of Assisi Parish in Norristown has been placed in police custody.
