| Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett has unveiled his new $27.3 billion dollar budget for next year. The taxpayer spending plan is 3.1 percent lower than this year and includes cutting 1500 state employees, and 1.2 billion dollars from education, including public schools and state funded universities. A Forbes magazine article this week ranked Philly No. 1 on its "America's 10 Most Toxic Cities" list.
Forbes staffers based the list on five measurements, three drawn from a website that compiles data on U.S. cities but warns users not to "assume that the provided content is error-free."

Statistics say crime is up in Camden since police layoffs
Violent crime jumped 19 percent and aggravated assaults with firearms 259 percent over the same time period last year in Camden.
